03/14/2004: "Adding Links"
I have a large number of links to coffee-related web sites. Occasionally I receive requests from people who wish to have their site added to my list. This is very flattering. Unfortunately, people I tell about this tell me I should get some free coffee from the deal, since I'm providing free advertising. I suppose that would be nice but I have links to tons of sites whose owners did not ask me to add them. I think a good compromise is to insist on a link exchange. This has worked well since the last few people who have contacted me were nice enough to have already added me to their links. Now, if I end up with lots more traffic than before I'll have to get more serious about adding some stuff worth reading!
